During these unprecedented times we are providing an opportunity to share our thinking with you on what we are seeing and how we are responding to the coronavirus pandemic. From grade schoolers to “go-go” retirees to those in retirement communities, each person is having their own unique experience and reaction to the various ways life has been temporarily modified.
Every year there are many retirees who are forced into an early retirement. In fact, according to the Employee Benefit Research Institute, almost half of retirees enter retirement earlier than they expected. Often these people planned to work until age 65, but a health problem, care-giving demands, or early termination from work led them to an early retirement.

Kids learn the basics in school–reading, writing and arithmetic. But schools avoid almost any instruction about money. If they do offer a class, it may be an elective in high school, long after habits have been formed.
