Announcing the 2nd Edition of Keen on Retirement

It’s amazing to think back to the launch of the 1st Edition in 2019 and reflect on everything that we’ve all been through in three short years. The pandemic didn’t just change how we live and work, it also accelerated some key trends that affect how our government and financial professionals help folks prepare for a successful retirement. It also, in part, helped me to commit to some personal goals and make changes that I think have made me a better husband, father, and financial advisor.

For the 2nd Edition of Keen on Retirement, I wanted to update my Retirement Blueprint to include planning for the latest rules and regulations, including the SECURE Act, as well as strategies for maximizing Social Security and getting the most out of Medicare benefits. I’ve also included some personal lessons from my experiences with health and aging now that I’m on the other side of 50 and understand more just how important it is to stay in good shape and take care of ourselves. If you’ve read the 1st Edition, I think you’ll get a lot out of these updates, including three brand-new chapters: Understanding Medicare and Health Care Costs, Avoiding the Next Flash in the Pan, and Navigating Unprecedented Times.

In Keen on Retirement, I share insights from a thirty-year career to help you approach retirement with confidence. In addition to walking, you through the steps of building a dynamic retirement financial plan, I focus on the psychological and emotional challenges associated with retirement. I offer guidance to disciplined savers who are anxious about becoming spenders and help individuals and couples get clarity around what their life will look like in retirement.

But my number one goal for this book, and for all the educational content we create at Keen Wealth Advisors, is to provide actionable wisdom and experience that will help you navigate whatever life throws at you with poise, balance, and intention. I believe working with a fiduciary financial advisor who can help you identify what to focus on in your planning and what to avoid is an essential first step to developing that confidence. And no matter how much the world has changed in the last few years, sticking to your plan over time is still typically the best path towards an inspiring future.

As a special thank you to everyone, my publisher has agreed to offer a discount on the ebook version of the 2nd edition for a short time only!

CLICK HERE to buy the Kindle ebook edition of Keen on Retirement for just $0.99 and you can read the 2nd edition from any phone, tablet or computer.

When you’ve finished reading, I would be grateful if you could take a minute to leave a review on Amazon. Do NOT feel obligated, but reviews are the most important factor in how many new readers the book is able to reach. Even just leaving a star rating makes a big difference. I’d love to see the 2nd Edition hit Amazon’s bestseller list just like the first one did!

Thanks again for your continued support of Keen Wealth Advisors, our podcast, our blog, and our community. I hope you enjoy the 2nd edition of Keen on Retirement: Engineering The Second Half Of Your Life.
